Coming Soon To Your Mouth...

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Martha Stewart's recipes tend to be hit-and-miss. Nine times out of ten when I have gone to Martha looking for meal-time inspiration, I wind up with something not-so sensational going into my food hole which is quickly followed by my food hole forming a large frown. There is one single exception to this MS rule of thumb: her cookies are always a hit (and always the shit!!)

I wandered over to Miss Martha's corner this evening and was bombarded with Christmas Cookies with some serious potential people. I plan to make all of these for or around X-mas gifts this year. GET THESE IN MY MOUTH!!!

Chocolate-Peppermint Cookies

Cream Cheese Lemon Bows

Espresso Bean Shortbread

Chocolate Peanut Butter Shortbread Squares

Green Tea Shortbread Leaves!!!!

Mix Tape Mania

I plan to make several gifts for people this X-mas, but the most labor-intensive project will be the mix CDs being produced. They have to be perfect, flow like a river to the setting sun, with no filler or fluff or poppycock. Here is what I have in mind:

Mini-Tramp Memories II

Mini-Tramp Memories I was mostly comprised of songs which remind me of Mom - with an emphasis on tunes that conjure memories of her jogging and singing along on her mini-tramp at Park Crest Court. So far, I know that there has to be:

1. Genesis Invisible Touch (the ULTIMATE mini-tramp tune which was inadvertently left off v1!!!) and this one which conjures memories of watching Days of Our Lives after school and crushing on Wally Kurth (Justin):

Kaela's First Mix EVER

I have made several mix cds for Connor and Braden, all of which were well-received. Why did I never make  a CD for my little darling niece? Bad Aunt Sara!!! I am planning one for my little lady and it's got to be straight mind blowing. Track listing so far:

ABBA
Smokey Robinson
Rod Stewart
Led Zeppelin
The Breeders
Wings
Patsy Cline
Harry Belafonte
Hall & Oates
ELO

Christmas Mix Extraordinaire

This one is for everyone I love. This will be the Christmas card I will include with every gift I give this year. I don't dare post the track listing out here because that would spoil the surprise and that's no fun. Let's just say there will be some amazing stuff that will warm everyone's heart I hope.

David Firth is Still My Hero

Aaah... take a trip with me back to 2004 to revisit the cutting edge of Flash animation at the time. David Firth was at the forefront of my frontal lobe as being one of the innovators of creating ones own private animated world with a unique look and feel, mixed with crazy psycho characters, stories and situations. Fat-pie.com (not to be confused with fatpie.com, although if you're into large women and men with gian tits, I guess I recommend it.) features all of his animations including Burnt Face Man (Crime is a shit that needs wiping up), Jerry Jackson, and my personal favorite: Salad Fingers.

Salad Fingers is a sweet, loving, creep-a-riffic little devil who likes rusty spoons and finger puppets. You are taken directly into his sterile, muted, OCD world and left with the most unsettling and eerie and yet comforting feeling. Check him out
